I went walking

I guess I get it from my Mother, in times of stress she would get up early and hit the streets. As an adult whenever I have felt crazed, walking has been my antidote. So I was thrilled to

find this quote from Soren Kierkegaard in a letter to Jette (1847) which expresses how I value walking.

"Above all, do not lose your desire to walk: every day I walk myself into a state of well being and walk away from every illness: I have walked myself into some of my best thoughts, and I know no thought so burdensome that one cannot walk away from it."

A walk in the woods helps you breathe. Each time I walk there comes a certain point where a loud contented sigh escapes from my lungs, it is easily the best breath of the day. Our ideal for Mindsettle is that it can become a virtual walk through nature, thereby having a similar calming effect.

"Thus if one just keeps on walking, everything will be all right." (Kierkegaard)
